Building Holiday Hours:
As stated in the parent handbook, we will alter our building hours for the holiday weeks of December 21st & 28th. We will be open from 7:30-5:00. We will return to normal hours the week of January 4th. As a reminder Grace is closed on December 23rd, 24th, 25th, 31st and January 1st .
The Day Care will NOT ordinarily be closed for bad weather, however, in severe weather situations you may wish to call before coming to be sure that staff have arrived. A minimum of two staff members must be present to open. If necessary, we will alert the following television, radio stations, the ProCare Connect app and our Grace Face book page for delays and closings. WLFI-TV 18, WASK-K 105 FM, WKHY 93.5, WXXB-B102.9
If the Day Care is closed part or all day for bad weather, our policy states that we pay scheduled staff, therefore regular tuition is due.
Carline Protocol, Procedures and Consequences:
We have really tried to create a safe and smooth system for dropping off and picking up your children. We have struggled to improve the system as needed and as recommended from the State. Although, we still have families that can not follow our protocol and procedures. Please note, they are in place for the safety of all our staff, children and families. Therefore, effective immediately, anyone that does not follow the protocol listed below will not be admitted to GEM. -The carline is formed under the carport and faces 22nd St.
-Cars must come through the carline.
-Please wait your turn and be patient.
-If you do not enter through the carport a staff member will ask you to follow the correct procedure and follow of traffic.
-Wear a face mask even if you stand by your car.
-Stand by your car. Do not leave the line.
-Return to your car after you have signed in/out or swiped your CCDF card.-Do not pass the BLUE line.
- A staff member will meet you at the line when we are ready to intake your child.
-Use Physical distance with all staff and other families.
-Sign your child in/out DAILY, using their picture icon.
-Remember carline ends promptly at 9:30 a.m.
-During carline times, be patient when we are delivering or retrieving your children.
Thank you for respecting our protocol and ensuring that we all stay safe. Please share the protocol with all individuals that drop off or pick up your children.
The tuition policy as stated in the parent handbook is strictly enforced. The policy is stated below. Tuition fees are due weekly/monthly depending on the program/schedule of your child. Fees are due every Monday. Fees not paid by Friday morning of the current week will incur a late fee of $20.00. If your account falls more than 2 weeks behind your child will not be admitted until the account is paid in full. Your tuition is what reserves your child’s spot. Therefore, full fee is due regardless of holiday, illness, days off and building closures. Please remember that our school expenses continue when one or more children are absent. Part time children that need care on an unscheduled day may pay for an additional day if there is space available and on a first come first serve basis. We do not allow children to switch days. If you need care on a day your child does not attend, we require the request in writing and will let you know if space is available. All scheduling changes must be approved by Mrs. Anne.
This year we will celebrate the holiday season with a classroom party and Pajama Day! Our celebration will be on Friday, December 18th. All classroom activities will be completed by 11:00. Please look for information from your child’s classroom teacher for party day specifics and donation opportunities. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we decided to not have a gift exchange or Santa onsite this year.

If children become ill during the day, are vomiting, have 1 loose stool or has a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, parents will be notified to pick them up.
